Fulcrum Defence Systems, a South African company established in 1998 that operates as an extended business unit of EADS Defence & Communications Systems. A highly skilled black empowered "system house" offering their customers comprehensive and tailored solutions.
As a System Engineering house Fulcrum has the know-how to design, develop and implement complex defence, safety and security solutions. Through their close alliance with EADS DCS, Fulcrum offers command & control, tactical control, information management and secured communication solutions to both local and global markets, as well as solutions enabling effective boarder control and coastal surveillance.
In order to make these integrated solutions tangible and demonstrate the strenghts of this new security paradigm, Fulcrum and EADS DCS have developed "CORE" building blocks, simulation tools and operationally proven solutions.
With its competencies in the Defence, Safety and Security solutions space, Fulcrum fulfills all customer requirements in the area of information infrastructure solutions, global security and secured networks.
Fulcrum has two major facilities in South Africa:

Software Development Laboratory focusing on the development of software solutions for the defence and commercial industries, as well as developing control systems, command & control and intelligence solutions;

Manufacturing, Integration, Calibration and Certification Laboratory focusing on the manufacturing of missile sub-systems, the development of test equipment as well as simulation solutions.
